The LR Connections group are looking for an organised and driven, already qualified accountant to join the expanding LR Accounting team. You will work closely with our other accountants and administration staff, and be in daily contact with our interesting mix of clients ranging from builders to barristers, and everything in between. A formal qualification from a UK body (AAT, ICAEW, ACCA etc.) is essential for this role, and may suit an individual who has been away from the industry for a couple of years. We are an energetic company, always looking for ways to experience our client experience, and would welcome any applicants who wish to apply for this new role.
Perform monthly, quarterly and annual accounting activities including company accounts, self-employed accounts and Self Assessment tax returns
Analyse and report on financial status including income statement variances, communicating financial results to management and boards of directors, budget preparation, forecasting and analysis
Improve systems and procedures where you feel necessary, and initiate corrective actions
Oversee taxes and abide by HMRC regulations
Ensure VAT returns are filed on time each month
Manage our overseas clients
Overseeing monthly payroll dealt with by our accounts admin staff
Prepare final accounts to Trial Balance / ETBI.
5+ years’ accounting experience is desirable
Accounting software packages
Extensive knowledge of UK GAAP
Advanced computer skills in Microsoft software and comfortable learning our bespoke software systems
Excellent organisational, problem-solving, project management and communication skills
Above average experience in company audits and reporting
Experience with SaaS companies
5+ years’ industry experience
Fully qualified UK certification from an accounting body (ICAEW, AAT, ACCA etc.)
Perfect attention to detail and ability to spot errors
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
